Tapis en laine touffeté à la main Alimatou

We bought this rug with four others after getting new floors installed. This was actually bought later bc the initial rug for this area was too small but I love it. The ridges are just enough to provide texture mixed in with the Sisal rug feeling and the Dyson vacuum rolls over this without stopping the brushes, so that's a win for me. The color is beautiful and goes great in our room. I think I might cut the tassles off down the road as they seem a big extra and just flop around. Also, we think this rug sheds a lot so hopefully that will die down in time.

Pretty rug and photos are accurate, but this thing sheds and sheds and sheds! I have had it for 16 months and it just started to get to the point that I don't have a vaccum canister full of lint after vaccuming the rug each time.

Looks great but the material underneath the tufting is more of a jute-type, not a soft material. This thing SHEDS like mad, I've vacuumed it 4+ times and the whole vacuum is instantly full of wiry white threads. Not great.
