The color shown in the product pictures accurately represents the actual color. Plush tight weave feels soft under foot. I opted to add a rug pad for an even softer, plushier feel. However, we've had this rug for almost 2 years and it still shedding. Shedding is so bad that we have to vacuum our hardwood floors every single day due to the buildup of fibers around the house.

UPDATE: This item has endless shedding. The quality has deteriorated substantially. | A lot more yellow/vanilla in person. I've tried to vacuum it and there are still little hairs that release. They charge me $70 to return it. Not the worst option but definitely not worth the near $400 I paid for it.
