This rug worked out perfectly for us. We needed one to tie together shades of tan, white, gray and navy blue that are present in different parts of the room. (Sounds weird I know, but they work!) At the recommendation of another reviewer we did get a rug pad for underneath as it is soft but not as plush as the one we had previously that we had to replace due to wear and it is in a spot where our dogs love to lay. We have two black labs and a small blue heeler mix so we also sprayed it with scotchguard ourselves before laying it out and so far so good, no dirt or signs of traffic
