I purchased this rug to use under a mat on my front porch. The mat is not a true black. It is a charcoal color with light gray. My mat is black and looked too dark on this rug so now will be looking for a charcoal mat. The material is very nice, arrived rolled, and layed flat immediately. It is light weight so should be anchored with furniture or a mat to keep in place. It is well made. I have just received it so we shall see if it fades as my porch gets the afternoon sun. The weave and color of this outdoor rug seem fine for our purposes but the wrinkles have yet to come out. I'm pretty sure that it will completely flatten with time and perhaps a bit of a rinsing, but only time will tell. For now, it appears to deserve a four star rating.
