I was a little hesitant reading some reviews of clearly used and dirty rugs arriving, but I needed a rug that was 6x6' (hard to find), washable AND 100% cotton and this was the only one out there! It is more plush than you would think and it is really soft. I clearly did get a new one (not a used/dirty one like some reviews said) and I am happy with it. I see what some reviews mean where they compare it to a blanket - it does have a softer, shag feel to it, but perhaps that can be fixed with a pad. This rug is an excellent alternative to artificial fabric. Because my little one will be playing on this, I wanted it to be a natural fabric. Without the padding underneath it is a bit firm, but still soft enough to play on. It’s incredibly soft. My only complaint is that it does slide quite a bit, so a grip mat underneath is likely necessary for those with hardwood floors. The color is as pictured. Very happy with the price and quality.. Washable wool rug. Inspired by a landscape of cultivated fields, this rectangular wool rug has been elaborated using the contrast of the cotton canvas base in Linen colour, visible in between the short pile wool in Natural colour.
