I am pleasantly surprised at the quality of this. It came air packed, so I was unable to see just how fluffy and soft it was. Upon opening it, it began to expand and the rest was history. It is very soft. The dark shade on white appears more of a very dark green - almost black. I am glad that it does not appear green because I wouldn't want it if that was the case. As you can tell from the pictures, we placed it on our rug and not directly on a hard wood floor. Great rug with long pile but not dense. The pattern is nicer from a little ways away. Close up, the pattern isn't as distinguishable. I love the colors, they’re exactly as shown in the photos. The bold pattern is just what my living room needed to tie everything together. The only problem is, there were 3 flaws in the weave of the rug. A tuft of beige yarn was sticking up in the blue pattern. They can’t be pulled through to the backside, so I tried to cut them off.
