10 Super Easy Ways to Organize Your Home Office
Create the perfect home office space!
Working from home has made the home office more popular than ever before, so today we are giving you ten super easy ways to organize your home office.
1. A Filing Cabinet
Organize all of your personal files (such as tax documents, insurance documents, medical files, and business invoices) in folders in your filing cabinet or storage drawers. This furniture piece also creates a new surface area for a printer and cute lamp! Add a personal photo or faux plant if you have room.
Add a decorative touch to your desk with a faux floral arrangement, personal photos in frames, a cute stapler and tape dispenser, and chic desk organizer sets for pens, paper clips, and business cards.
3. Storage Cubes for Shelves or Closets
The easiest way to maximize storage space on shelves and in your closet is with storage cubes and bins. Add books, magazines, binders, office supplies, invoices, or anything else that tends to create clutter in your home office.
4. Organized Desktop Papers
Keep your desk tidy by organizing all of your loose papers into magazine organizers or paper organizers – this way anything you need immediately is within reach on your desk.
5. An Open Bookcase
Make your open bookcase look pretty! Place photos on your shelves, stack books, and add cute storage bins, products you use daily, and anything else you want to show off in your home office.
6. Cord Management
No one wants to see a huge spider web of cords hanging from their desk, so use zip ties and command strips to organize all of your cords! Tie your cords together with the zip ties and then use Velcro command strips to secure them to the underside of your desk so they are out of sight.
7. Desk Drawer Inserts
Don’t you hate opening your drawers only to find a huge junk pile? Add a couple of drawer organizer sets to create separate compartments for pens, paper clips, chargers, erasers, sticky notes, scissors, and all of your home office supplies.
8. A Bar Cart for Movable Essentials
Have an extra piece of unconventional office furniture, such as a bar cart, that you can use? In the photo below, this homeowner and small business owner used her bar cart to hold beauty supplies that she could easily grab to talk about on her Instagram stories to promote her spa.
9. Chalkboard Labels
Labeling your storage containers with chalkboard labels will help you visually remember where everything is located for easy access! Plus, if you reorganize you can easily change the name on the label since it’s chalk. These little labels will be a game changer for keeping tabs on your office essentials.
10. Wall Space
Adding bulletin boards, dry erase boards, white boards, or vertical file wall holders will help keep your office and your mind decluttered. Maximize your home office space by utilizing empty wall spaces.
