Bouncers Buying Guide
Your inclusive guide to inflatable bouncers.
What’s a surefire way to amp up any party? Having an inflatable bouncer. Not just for kids, here are the top considerations such as size, weight, and accessories that can help; you choose what bouncer is right for your yard.
Bouncer Measurements
Measure the Space Around the Bouncer: Before determining the size bouncer you need, you must first take into account the space where it will be inflated. It’s recommended that there is at least five feet around the side of the bouncer for the safety of those both inside and outside. You must also consider the vertical space above the bouncer – be sure to avoid nearby trees of low hanging branches.
Measure the Size of the Bouncer: Now you can conclude the appropriate sized bouncer for your space. Focus on the depth dimension as this is the main indicator as to how many people can fit in the bouncer.
Tip!
To find an exact sized bouncer, simply expand the Overall Dimensions category on the right hand side of the page and enter the custom measurements.
Measure the Bouncer’s Internal Size: It is also important to know the interior space of the bouncer. Be sure to account for the size/age of those who will be inside and how many there will be at one time. This accounts for enough height for jumping and enough width/length for multiple people and ensures the safety of everyone.
Consider Bouncer Weight Capacity: It is vital to account for the quantity and total weight of those inside the bouncer, and to abide by the weight limit of the inflatable bouncers. Some bouncers even have a weight capacity of 500+ lbs.
Consider Bouncer Resistances: Because bouncers are almost always used outdoors, they will typically have similar resistances to other lawn items such as UV resistance, fade-resistance, and mildew-resistance. Many bounce houses have a water slide/pool component, which requires water resistance.
Blower: A blower is necessary to inflate a bouncer and provide consistent air flow to keep it inflated. Only turn off the blower when you are ready to deflate the bouncer. Most often, these blowers are included with the purchase of the bouncer.
Repair Kit: It is always better to have something and not need it, than need it and not have it. Be sure you’re fully prepared to have a bouncer at your home with a supplemental repair kit. Most bouncers do already come with these kits that include extras like patches, stakes, and incredibly strong tape.
Stakes: The weather could unexpectedly pick up on the day you inflate your bouncer. Having extra stakes on hand is especially helpful to ensure the inflatable bouncer is secured into the ground and those who are bouncing can be kept safe.
Storage Bag: After the day is done, get the most out of your bouncer by storing it properly and compactly. Having a special storage bag made of the same durable material can help protect the longevity of your bouncer from extreme temperatures or any potential wear and tear even in storage.
