Whipped coffee, or Dalgona coffee, recently took the Internet by storm. However, the method has been around for many years and used in several different cultures. Check out some modern ways to learn how to make whipped coffee.

Ingredients You'll Need

2 tablespoons hot water: It doesn't need to be boiling.
2 tablespoons sugar: You need granulated sugar (regular or a sugar substitute) since this is what makes the coffee fluffy. Without any kind of sugar, it'll flatten quickly, and that's no fun.
2 tablespoons instant coffee: It has to be powdered and it has to be instant. If you just use coffee grounds, it won't whip properly.
Milk: Any kind – dairy, almond, oat, whatever you like. Pour however much you usually use for a ratio of creamer to coffee.
Ice: Fill a cup part way with ice
Extras & Add Ons: Dress up your coffee with any additional flavors you normally would. For example, adding cocoa powder for a mocha whipped recipe. Or drizzle with maple syrup, honey, or caramel. You can also sub powdered coffee with decaf or even espresso for different strengths.

Utensils You'll Need

A glass: Filled with as much ice as you like.

Milk Frother: Doing its job, the milk frother mixes the dry ingredients in a way that's more frothy and bubbly than whipped. If you're looking for the authentic experience of a whipped coffee, then it's probably not the way to go, but if more froth is your preference, go for it.
