We offer slipcovers for anything from sofas and armchairs, to loveseats and wing chairs, but there are also more specialized and unique ones like recliners and ottomans.

Measure Your Seating

Now you can finally get to measuring for the slipcover. Knowing the size of your furniture will help you confidently choose the right type of slipcover. Whether you are measuring a sofa, chair, or ottoman, you will need to measure the overall width, depth, and height.

Width: Determine the width of the chair or sofa by measuring the entire distance across the seat from left to right, including the stretch of the arms.

Depth: Find the depth by measuring the front edge of the front leg to the deepest point of the back leg.

Height: Measure the height by measuring the distance from the top of the back of the seat to the ground.

You may need to get additional measurements depending on the type of furniture you are buying for.

Cushion Width: For some types of slipcovers, you will need to measure the cushion width. Measure from the outer edge of the left cushion to the outer edge of the right cushion.

Cushion Depth: Measure the cushion depth by measuring the front of the cushion to where the cushion meets the back of the sofa.

Recliner Length: If you are looking for a recliner slipcover, some slipcovers will require reclining length. Put your recliner in the fully reclined position and measure the recliner from the top edge to the bottom of the footrest.

Dust Ruffle: If you are purchasing a slipcover with a dust ruffle or skirt, you will need to measure from the top of the legs to the floor.

Armed with the knowledge on how to measure for a slipcover, and once you have obtained these measurements, you will be able to compare them to the specs of the slipcovers you are looking at to ensure you are choosing the right size.
