Bright Mid-Century Modern Office Update
Check out how one blogger refreshed her home office.

My office has been transformed from a beige and boring third bedroom, to a bright and happy work space!
The overhead light, while lovely to look at, was seriously under lighting the room. Two little table lamps were the perfect solution for my space. They provide crucial light to the most used areas in the room, and create a wonderful, warm glow. I'm always tempted to leave them on all day, because of how inviting they make my office feel.

There are a few accessories in the room, that really bring the mid-century modern style together. A silver sunburst clock in the corner is one of them. I have always wanted to own a sunburst clock. They're a signature design from the mid-century modern era, but I've never been able to find one that was A) in my price range, B) functional and C) the right aesthetic. This clock checks all three of those boxes (shop it on the side rail). I love that it coordinates with all of the chrome and white elements in the room, while reiterating the mid-century modern style. It's the perfect finishing touch to my sitting area.
Antique wood accents in the room keep the room feeling warm and inviting, even in the face of all that chrome and white. The side table was a vintage find, but the stool in the kids' corner is a Wayfair find! The two pieces compliment each other beautifully.

A yellow colour scheme really helped brighten up the space, from a sunny rug to eye-catching decorative storage. In the kids' corner, a bite-sized table gives my little ones a place to play while I work. Little grey plus sign stickers decorate the wall, adding subtle personality.
