When we received the bookshelf and package, we immediately noticed that everything was separated and packaged well. There’s a white box with hardware in it and it includes the Allen key, but you will need a Phillips head screwdriver. I recommend using a drill for the small screws for the braces at the end. If you buy it, you’ll understand. It has a tongue and groove system along with screws for a good solid connection. The hardware that was included was good material and heavy duty for such a small piece of furniture. It was not hard to put together, and the directions are easily followed. Make sure you pay attention to the way the holes are lining up in the directions. It does matter and I had to end up taking a couple bolts out and flipping a piece around the bookshelf. It also has corner brackets to reinforce it from being able to shift. However, the screws are small, and a drill would better serve you in this case. The bookshelf itself holds a good amount of weight securely. We put it to the test with children’s books and toys. It is great for corners and awkward areas. The materials have a nice finish, and the height is perfect for little ones. We like the bookshelf a lot and we give it 5 stars.
