it really does not heat up correctly when you put the food in the fryer when the light is ready it like turns off and you have to turn back on after you put the food in ?????

Heats fast. Basket has a hook. But took the lid off the clean oil pan and I’ve never been able to put it back. Now it’s lopsided. Leaks and makes a mess. It gets stuck. And now it’s misshapen and really gets stuck and needs assistance getting out (pressing lid down.) The lid collects condensation, dripping water into the frying oil. Now I’ve had it 4yrs, it’s been a few now that draining takes a day or two to do so.

This is the second one for me. the fryer itself works fine. The first one developed a leak in the plastic oil container so I bought the newer, digital version. For some reason, when Ive filled the fryer near the max line, not over it, the plastic container doesn't hold all the oil so I ended up with a huge mess. Once I cleaned it out the lid won't go back on. I think my next fryer won't have the filtration system. Not worth the trouble.

This is my second filtration deep fryer. The first (not this brand) served me well for years but wasn't big enough. I replaced it with this unit and within 3 uses, the filtration box warped beyond usability. The size is good, it heats up quickly but the filtration part is useless.
