Ktaxon 5000 Watt 12 Deep Fryer

I use it pretty much every other weekend. It’s the best thing I could ever have in my kitchen and my outdoor patio.

The deep fryer does not work. I hold an annual fried dough party at my house and thought this would allow guests to deep fry their own dough rather than leaving someone stuck at the stove for the night. Instead, after filling this unit with oil, I had to disassemble the deep frier from a counter where it was set-up, carry only the basin from the unit to the stove (which was holding over 300 oz. of slightly warmed olive oil) , and use gas burners underneath the basin (the stove burners, not the deep fryer burners) to heat the oil. Deep Fryer Issues: -The instruction manual contains no assembly instructions and no picture outside of a fully-assembled photo on the cover. It took a few minutes to understand that a small bag full of parts contained feet for the unit, a handle for the splash guard, and that two perforated pieces of metal slid over the heating elements. It was also initially unclear how to remove the heating elements in order to remove a plastic film from the oil-holding basin. -At any temperature setting, both heating elements shut off as soon as the oil turned lukewarm. I tested the outlets with other large appliances, ensured I hadn't tripped a circuit in my basement, and even moved the deep fryer to several different outlets on different circuits. Each time, as soon as the oil started heating, it would turn off. I had a friend who is a chef and a friend who is an engineer at the house for this party and neither could discern what was causing the issue. Long story short, this doesn't actually work.

Good professional work great. Just can't use in your house if you don't have high voltage the watts can cause your power to go out.
