This took about an hour and 30 minutes to put together. I’d recommend having a second person hold it while you put it together. The door is semi heave when it’s open which can cause it to fall on you while you are putting it together. Definitely recommend anchoring it to the wall as well. It came a little damaged but it was just cosmetic. Once it was put together the door wouldn’t close. I had to mess with the hinges a bit with a screw driver to get it to fix. This is a nice safe but it’s probably best for someone with some construction experience to put it together.

Honest Review! Marriage counseling may be needed after assembling this gun safe. I wish I had a video showing the frustration, commentary, and expletives while assembling. The instructions are not clear and you need to be a Houdini to perform the task at hand. This safe may keep firearms out of harms way, but could easily be broken into. The gauge of metal is not very thick and it is not a fire proof safe. it is very lightweight and the entire safe could easily be stolen. Also, the area for rifles is not quite tall enough and they need to be stored at quite an angle.

Very nice, large capacity gun safe. Also has a separate locked box shelf on top and another separate locked drawer at the bottom of the unit that we can use for other valuable items. Easy to assemble. Very sturdy construction that will last for a very long time.

Assembly was straight forward and easy except for the screw holes being very difficult to get at with just a screw driver. It would be very close to flat metal surfaces making it very difficult to screw it in straight. I would have preferred bolts or atleast a hex head on the screws vs Phillips. I do like that the top cabinet base doesnt have to be screwed down so you could pop it out if you had some longer guns. Each are keyed separately which could help helpful for some situations. The bottom drawer is very useful and convenient. It came with a light to hook in with a USB but no plug in I saw or anything in directions about it. The locking mechanism worked well but was a little loud. It has the option to put it on silent as well. The styling on the front was a little corny old west but typical for gun safes.

Overall, I’m very happy with this gun cabinet and it’s working perfectly for what we needed. It arrived well packaged, although there was a small dent on one corner of a side panel. My husband was able to bend it back into place before we assembled it, so it wasn’t a deal breaker. Assembly was fairly easy and straightforward. One small hiccup was that a couple of holes were missing for the upper shelf/divider, which required drilling, but once that was done everything came together nicely. This is a cabinet safe, exactly as described. Please note it is not a heavy-duty fire safe and I think that’s important for buyers to understand. The description clearly states this, despite some reviews suggesting otherwise. For storing firearms and keeping them secure from children or others you don’t want to have access, it does the job well. I really like the keypad feature in addition to the traditional key lock. It adds convenience and peace of mind should you not be able to locate the key. The size and layout are great, with plenty of room for rifles and accessories and documents on the bottom or top cabinet. All in all, it’s a solid cabinet, and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a more cost effective secure gun cabinet rather than a fire-rated safe which can be costly.
