These storage bins are the perfect size for built-in closet shelves. Mine fit best the long way, and the handle is sturdy and easy to grab. The lid help keeps out dust, which is great for things I don’t wear everyday or off-season clothes. It is a hinged lid, so you can open it if there is enough empty vertical space above it, but it’s easier to pull the entire bin off the shelf for access. The bins do have a smell when first opened, so I’ll let mine air out before loading them with clothes.
