OK Yeah it is not solid wood but what is today that the average person can afford? I will say, I am picky and the finish and quality is very very good. I was totally satisfied with this item. I will keep it indoors not in a garage or outside. Maybe in those cases you want one in solid wood. Good luck even finding one. My only complaint is that there are many weird hardware screws the likes of which I have never seen anywhere. There is no special tool included and you can't clamp onto them with vise grips to screw them in , as the center and most of the outside is plastic over metal. You clamp on, and the plastic is history. I used a thick rag and had very sore hands by the time it was done being assembled. You could do a little each day, but I did it all in one night and had very sore fingers but it was very nice when done.

I was disappointed. Found out it was partical board with wood Vermeer. Won’t hold up in humid or wet conditions. Two stars
