I measured and it works perfectly. I think a draw string tie with some sort of locking mechanism would last longer than the elastic cord but that can easily be replaced when needed. Nothing that is fabric related, lasts in NM sunshine, forever. Giving 5 stars based on my reasonable expectations for the future.
