Double Shelf-Hang Closet System with Long Hang (Bottom 16" Shorter than Top)

Perfect till we demo our the small closet.

We had this installed a few months ago. Installation was easy, if there are two people. The system seems strong so far as it can easy hold 12 to 14 wool and heavy coats in one segment (see photo). The metal parts make it look industrial. I saw a similar system used at a local Banana Republic store and decided to make this purchase. I don't regret it at all. It is strong (we attached the system to the wall studs). Two caveats: the space between bottom of the shelf and the top of the metal rail is a tad narrow for the hangers we use; each time I put on or take off a hanger, it hits the shelf and makes it less smooth when I hang my fresh laundered clothes. Not a deal-breaker, but annoying none the less. As far as the shelves go, I don't know how well the particle boards or laminate will hold up. Because it's not in a humid environment, I am guessing these will last for a few years. We plan to replace them with cedar planks when the boards break down. The nice thing about this system is that you can cut to the length you want to fit your closet. The photo I attached with the cut edge was made by our contractor to fit my son's closet. We will buy edge bands to seal it. Definitely recommend if you need a heavy duty system for heavier clothes.

Love love love this. Great size for a reach in closet. Love that it has coats hanging area. Very durable, excellent made. NOT cheaply made! Easy to hang, better to have a leveler whenever doing that. Instructions is complicated but I had to watch the 2minute video to better understand how to hang and it took me an hour to prep, measures and screws in then hung. Honestly I will buy more if I had place to hang them before they are of great quality.

We just remodeled our 1960s home, which has closets with challenging dimensions (only 21” deep), and this closet system is perfect: It’s solid, looks elegant and modern, and clothes hangers slide smoothly across rod. I like that the shelves will provide a solid “foundation” that I can build on as I determine what else I need to keep the closet organized. Even my general contractor was impressed with this closet system and he’s a carpenter by trade.
