Assembly was pretty straightforward. As you can see from the picture, unit doesn’t come assembled. Nothing a screwdriver can’t handle. Assuming took around an hour with husbands help. I did have trouble with one shelf. I’m pretty pleased with the overall cabinet. The panels in front allow your shoes to air out which will help to ensure it won’t stink.

It’s interesting as a shoe cabinet because it doesn’t open or section shoes the way that many of them do. Due to this, we ended up putting it in the bathroom instead and using it for storage and counter space. Easy to assemble. Check the dimensions before ordering as it is probably bigger than you think

So, disclaimer we are not using this cabinet for shoe storage, thought it would work wonderfully for that! We put this cabinet in our sons room to replace an older shelf. It is beautiful--I almost kept it for myself! The materials are high quality and assembly was a smooth process. I appreciate the adjustable shelves that can be placed as needed. But mostly, its the quality that gets me. Its a heavier piece that will hopefully last for some time!

Very solid. Looks great! Much sturdier than other non-solid wood products that I have purchased in the past.
