Melusina Blanket Chest

Excellent quality. Because it's a safe lid, it won't open all the way, which is fine, but you should know.

I absolutly LOVE this blanket chest. It's made well, solid wood......just beautiful. I bought this for my grandson for him to store his treasures that were scattered around his room in totes. It looks beautiful in his room instead of keeping his stuff in totes. Now he has a place to keep them because he is a colletor and has a special place to keep everything safely tucked away.

I made the mistake of ordering an open box for this product. It was packaged well but the corners were damaged among a couple other flaws. I was able to sand, fill, stain, and coat it pretty easily though. Behr oil-based wood stain mahogany red was a near perfect color match. The lid doesn’t open up to a full 90° but I’m overall happy with the purchase. Note that the color is quite darker than the photos. I order the lighter color one, I bet the darker one is almost black…

The only disappointment is the lack of response by the manufacturer about the slightly damaged blanket storage bench. The bench itself it’s highly functional and has helped with reducing blankets and throws awaiting a home. Now the have a cost one.
