I've used this steam iron only once so far. It is a replacement for the same model of B & D iron that I had for many years. The new iron doesn't have an on/off switch for steam so if I'm ironing fabrics that need steam and fabrics that don't during the same period, I guess I have to turn off the iron and empty the water tank to get a nonsteam iron. I find that the placement of the electrical cord near the bottom of the iron makes it harder to set the iron down flat. The cord then bends near the bottom of the iron. I wonder how long it will take before there's a problem with the cord. The iron is light weight, has plenty of steam, and it's easy to see how much water is left in the tank. It's a good value for the money.

A must have for those who enjoy a pressed and polished look to their clothing and appearance. A definite upgrade from an iron I had for many years. I’m happy to have found this one, it’s perfect.
