Good quality metal cover but the description I feel did not clearly state removeable I thought it would hinge up and down but you have to remove it each time you use griddle.

Purchased 2 of these for my Model 1819 (gas griddle/charcoal grill) . Fit great and now I have covers for both units when I need them. They are metal not the light weight aluminum.

This is a quality built lid and it fits perfectly. It should have the ability to hinge open while cooking but it does not. Instead you have to lift-off the lid and hang it off the back of the BS. I still highly recommend this product.
