Trash can is not 13 gallons it’s more like 5 gallons. Also, there’s no directions on how to install the middle piece that holds the bag inside the trash can in place so we just aren’t using that part. It was non-refundable.

I would not recommend this item. It arrived dirty and marked up and appeared to be a return. Wayfair graciously sent me a replacement at no charge. Unfortunately that replacement was also dirty, marked up, had hair inside and appeared to be a return. I agreed to keep the item after receiving a partial credit from Wayfair and to avoid any further energy spent on this purchase. However, I didn't even get into the fact that the sensor doesn't work correctly. I suspect that it has something to do with it being kept in a cupboard and the light and dark affecting the sensor as the cupboard door is opened and closed. Essentially, even after pressing the power button to close the lid, after closing the cupboard door. Okay, the lid continues to open and close over and over again inside the closed cupboard. The noise is audible so it can't really be ignored and also means the trash and any trash smells are not kept contained in the bin. With the open and close function not working correctly (this happened on the first bin as well as the replacement bin), it defeats the entire purpose and price tag of this item. I would not recommend.
