The listing says 48 gallon, and the picture also suggests 48 gallon. I purchased this thinking it would be 48 gallons. It was $170, which felt right. Turns out the 48 gallon trash can actually comes in many gallon options - NONE of which are 48 at the time of me writing this review - and I had the 4 gallon option selected. The product listing was intentionally deceptive, and prevented me from even realizing that I had to make such a selection. And c'mon guys - $170 for a tiny little wastebasket???? I feel taken advantage of and very frustrated by this product.
