The box is larger than our old which was plastic. So far it has deterred a bear from opening the metal lid. A bear opened our plastic bin and pulled out a small metal barrel holding bird seed. It took us about three to four hours over the course of two afternoons. I recommend two people during assembly. Once assembled the bin seems very sturdy. It would received five stars but for the assembly which was a bit of a pain. The metal panels are thin and seem flimsy on their on during assembly.

i would not recommend purchasing this item - unless you store inside. The material is flimsy. High maintenance to put together.

This is a nice sturdy storage bin once built. The assembly was not easy and it required 3 people and time and an electric screwdriver to ensure complete assembly

So assembling this is AN ABSOLUTE PAIN. They put this cling film that is kind of lake tape ON EVERY METAL PIECE and it takes 3x as long to remove the stuff as the rest of assembly. The instructions were not that impressive and it took a lot of work for me and my partner to get this together. After it’s all assembled, it’s not perfectly aligned but it opens and closes well enough that I’m not worried about weather. This is literally a tiny pole barn for your cushions and it is built like a brick sh*thouse which is awesome, but assembly and that plastic wrap took away a star. With a little motivation and patience, you’ll get it together. This fits (7) 24”x24”x4” cushions, (7) 24”x23”x2” cushions, 4 extra cushions, covers, extension cords, and still has room to spare. Great for large patio set storage. Oh and it does have little rollers and handles which is nice for moving it around the porch. But still. That tape-like cling film is frustrating. And it didn’t do anything to actually protect the panels anyways.
