Nice trash/recycling combo. Simple, stylish, not big and bulky. The quiet close is really nice too. Can easily remove each bin, the handle on the recycling bin make it easy to empty.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Who knew I’d ever be this excited to talk about a trash can but this is no ordinary one. The EKO Maxwell Recycling Trash Can is honestly the nicest garbage can I’ve ever owned. It feels high-quality, and fancy. The dual compartments are perfect for splitting things up (plastics in one, aluminum in the other) and standard tall bags fit just right to keep any mess contained. I also love that one of the containers has a handle for easy pull-out (though I do wish both had one). The step pedal works smoothly, and the lid has a soft-close feature so there’s no loud banging. Even better, you can lock the lid in the open position, which is really great when tossing in multiple items. I love that the brushed stainless finish is fingerprint-resistant and genuinely attractive. It’s honestly the first trash can I actually wanted displayed in my kitchen rather than hiding in a corner. It looks modern, and wipes down easily when needed. This trash can deserves all five stars from me!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's a nice trash can. Is made for both trash and recycling so there are 2 smaller bins inside. As much trash as we generate as a family of 4, 8 gallons of trash just isn't enough space. The foot pedal for the lid stopped working early on but was just a rod slipping out of place. Seems prone to fingerprints. Odor control is good.

I’ll start with the good things about it: it looks sleek, I love the slow, quiet close of the lid, I love the handle that helps remove the interior compartment, I love that there are two compartments, so you can have a recycling side and a garbage side. I love pretty much everything about it except its one downfall: it’s too small to be an everyday use garbage can for a family of four. It’s great as a garbage can in a secondary location, like a family room or the basement but there’s no way my family could use it as our kitchen garbage can. The two sides are so small, we would be taking out the garbage daily! We love it for what it is though.

It’s visually nice (arrived with a dent on one side though) and I love how it has a spot for recycling and trash, but it’s way too small. It gets filled up on both sides way too quickly for my house.
