I think this mat was expensive for what it is. It is relatively thin so I hope it holds up for a while.

Overall, the mat features a soft, textured surface designed for water dispensing, but its material often retains a faint residue when using a squeegee, likely due to the mat's uneven surface texture. Additionally, when Windex or similar cleaning solutions are used to squeegee water off the belt edge, the water tends to roll up and collect beneath the mat, causing it to become saturated. This saturation necessitates lifting the mat to allow it to air out and dry thoroughly. To improve this, I recommend installing a heavy-duty, tapered rubber edge along the perimeter of the mat, which would help to weigh down and flatten the edges, preventing water from seeping underneath. Furthermore, applying a gel-like substance, such as a silicone-based adhesive or a hydrophobic coating, to the underside of the mat could help it adhere more securely to the floor surface, thereby creating a water-repellent barrier that minimizes seepage and simplifies maintenance.
