Good Ideas 50 Gallons Plastic Drainable Dual Overflow Planter Rain Barrel

The rain barrel looks as nice as the pictures. The mesh to keep the bugs out does not fits snuggly snuggly and I will need to add aluminum screen. There are two round cut outs near the top at the back of the rain barrel and I assume that’s for venting air as the barrel fills as well as when water is dispensed. Or I suppose it could be for overflow There was no diagram of the rain barrel explaining all the nuances. I’m concerned mosquitos will find these holes as well as the two holes at the top of the barrel in the channel near where the water is collected.

My HOA required an attractive replacement for my original, plain, black planterbarrel. This one was approved. Despite being in direct heat and FL sun for 8 hours a day, it is holding up well with no fading or weakening!

This rain barrel looks nice and works well. It arrived quickly. My only complaint is that it came without the screws that hold the handles on the spigot (see photo). The spigots were inside the barrel when it arrived; no problem there once I figured that out, but I looked high and low for the two screws with no luck. Hopefully I won't lose the spigot handles, because they come off easily without the screws.

Great rain barrel. My house plants have never looked better!

I looks great! Was easy to put together but we don’t have enough pressure to come out our hose. I’m going to reach out and ask.
