Good Ideas Plastic Drainable Dual Overflow Diverter and Hose

Super easy install. My husband and I were a bit afraid we would damage the downspout, but it was simple. And the drill bit that you need comes with.

I was super nervous to cut into my metal downspout, but measured and eyeballed it a dozen times. Then did it! An hour later we got a big rain and my 60 gallon barrel got filled to the brim and started using the overflow hose. I'm on here buying my second diverter kit cuz a friend gave me another rain barrel for another down spout! Note: This kit does not come with an overflow hose but I highly recommend installing one. Just get some clear tubing from the toilet section of the hardware store. Then drill a hole in the side of the barrel at the top. A PVC coupler in the hole would be helpful but not necessary if you get the fit right.

The kit was great except it was missing a piece.

My rain barrel is fully functioning since I installed this all by myself ! The directions were very detailed and easy to follow. All the pieces fit and the drill bits were precise. I now know how to drill holes with ease.

So easy to install! I slightly terrified to drill holes into my gutter, but the instructions and install process were straightforward and simple. The whole process took less than 30min. Highly recommend this system.
