Jaigo Solid Wood Blanket Chest

Well made. Arrived in good condition. Took me about 1 hour to assemble. Solid wood. I finished the chest with 2 coats of Danish Oil.

I was looking for something to hold blankets and pillows and this fits the bill! There were a few issues putting it together, mostly attaching the soft close hinges- they didn’t want to match up with the pre drilled holes and it took some force to make sure they were even close. Also the board for the bottom is very thin but with the 2 braces it doesn’t seem to be a problem. It is holding various sizes of blankets and pillows for my kids to grab when needed. Probably won’t finish it because I like how bright it is.

Great quality, was one of the largest chests I found. The natural wood is gorgeous, but we plan to paint it.

2 stars for the good looks. Certainly NOT good as a storage chest for anything over 5 lbs, evenly distributed. The bottom is made from a flimsy piece of plywood, not even 18 in thick, supported by 2 pieces of wood. Beware, the QA is NOT correct in claiming it can carry 200-500 lbs(!!) - maybe when you sit on it but not inside. Good for storing a couple of pillows. I have not installed the bottom plywood, as my sewing machine would go straight through it, see photo.

Turned it into a concealed litter box. Excellent quality and worked perfectly for what we needed it for!

The majority of the bench was solid wood however, there were several pieces of super thin, cheap boards for the price. It would’ve been a lot better for it to be all solid.

Terrible to put together, some hardware pieces were missing, but we made it work! It’s sturdy and really beautiful.
