I probably spent 8-10 hours and looked at several dozen cabinets / safes and found this to be the best option. I didn’t feel like the cost and weight of a heavy duty safe was worth it, but I didn’t want a cheap or flimsy cabinet either. This was the perfect compromise. It arrived in excellent shape. It easily holds my long shotguns. The permanent shelf only goes half way back so you have 57” to put your guns in. It holds 7 large guns in cases, so I’m sure it would hold 8+. I like the double lock in that each works very smoothly and have vertical and side latching surfaces, so it seems secure. I was afraid that a single lock would work more difficultly in that you have to turn long vertical arms that could get misaligned. I also like having mounting holes in the back and not having to drill into my concrete floor on the bottom. It was light enough for my wife and me to carry down our bulkhead stairs. I’m glad I put the time in and found this.
