Sure, it isn't a steel box, but it isn't supposed to be. It holds a lot of our holiday decorations, and stores away in an easy to get back to little package. It is like unwrapping a gift before you even do gifts! It also was sturdy enough to hold up and I am sure we will be using this one for a long time to come.

I would like these to be in a thicker plastic as they would be used for heavy duty storage in the garage. I wonder if these come in a clear variant. A major concern I have is that both the lid and bin have rough/ unsmooth edges. After snapping the lid in place and holding the bin at the designated fingerholds, I could actually feel the rough edges bite into my fingertips-- and this is when the bin is empty. Imagine if I had filled the bin with heavy items, the edges of the lid and lip of the bin would cut into my hands.
