After installing 4 of these closet systems over the last 2 weeks I can honestly say that while I’m happy with the end result, the problems along the way would have been insurmountable for the average homeowner. Where do I start….. While packaged pretty well, the material is soft pine with a white finish. Wherever the box was dented, the unit was dented. One of the long shelves had a broken slat, but I put that in the small closet so trimmed the shelf down and luckily worked around it. The biggest problem when manufacturing all 4 units was locking the bottom of the frame together with the rod and cam system. Their cams are too big for the hole and once you get a cam in, you can’t really get it out again. It was a nightmare, necessitating widening the holes with sandpaper. For units 3 and 4, I used a Dremel to prep the hole, which helped speed the job up. While I was struggling with unit 1, the wood cracked requiring repair with a metal plate. It was in back so was able to recover. Unit 2 the cam was so stuck that my screwdriver broke the metal cam also requiring a metal plate . Again it was on the bottom, so out of sight. The company knows about this problem. In kit 3 I received smaller cams as a supplement to the larger ones. I went to put the first one in, and the cam bent and disfigured. I opted to sand out the holes and use the original cams. The fasteners at the top of the frame are screws and barrel bolts. There were easy to operate and I recommend the company use this design for the bottom instead too of the rod and cam joiners. The cardboard “level” with template for the end wall shelf bracket did not work. I ended up about 12” lower than it supposed to be. Since I already murdered my wall with the sheetrock anchors, I was reluctant to move it up. I used my own level for the rest of the kits checking everything carefully. The drawers were more finely machined and the rod and cam joining system worked well, but in a one drawer back, the cam hole was not drilled deep enough. I was able to overcome this by drilling my own hole with a 12” drill. Another drawer back from another kit had no rod holes drilled. I tried to drill my own holes, but the angles and depths are super precise to get the drawer to be square. My holes failed and I sacrificed that one drawer for parts. On a third kit, the company mixed and matched a drawer from another production run or something. The drawer front had a 18” slot for the drawer bottom, but the drawer bottom and sides was 14”. Again, with a Sheetrock knife and a chisel, I was able to modify the drawer botttom to fit, so I dodged a bullet there. The mounting for the drawers to the frame needed modification in all four kits. The problem was the channels were not deep enough for the drawer tracks to fit flush against the outer walls. This squeezed the drawer, preventing it from moving freely in or out. Once I figured this out, I was able to drill an appropriate size hole in the channel. On one of the units the drawers did not work at all because the frame was 38 inch larger in the front than in the back. When I pulled the drawers out they would come off the tracks. I was puzzled so got out my carpenter’s square. The right side was square with the wall, but the left side was not at all. I mounted these sides to your top and bottom. The top and bottom weren’t square! I shimmed all 6 door tracks at the front left about 14” and this solved the problem. They look OK and work OK. On my 4th unit, I could not get the top screw for the frame into the barrel bolt. I wasted 20 minutes before realizing the hole for the barrel bolt was not deep enough so the barrel bolt hole wasn’t lining up with the screw. I drilled the hole 18 deeper and then it worked fine. The pins were too wide on the additional shelves, so many shelves could not be fit into the channels. Some worked, but others didn’t. I drilled many of the holes an extra 18” and pounded the pin in further to fix this problem. Last but not least, all 4 touch up paint pens were dried out. I’ll need to find my own paint to do touch ups. On the plus side, there was a ton of extra hardware left over. In addition, even though I needed to employ many work arounds to accommodate poor manufacturing, all of the units are up on the wall and working well. They look nice overall. In summary, the assembly was not easy and required many work-arounds. I spent many hours on problems related to manufacturing issues. manfrustrating hours devising solutions to manufacturing problems that shouldn’t have been there.

Extremely pleased with the versatility and quality of the product. Instructions could be a little more clear but there are videos online you can Google. Pacakging could use a little more cushion, some of the shelves had some minor dings in them nothing to compromise the integrity or function of the product. Overall very satisfied

Awesome! We just took them out of the box and it seems all intact and easy to install.

Easy enough to assemble. Wonderful level of quality throughout real solid wood (NO mdf) and even the quality if metal for the bar is high quality. I also like that it’s relatively simple to customize. Truly worth the investment
