Really wanted to like this based on pictures and other reviews. Guessing the design and/or parts were changed over time to reduce costs as more shoppers are not reporting these very obvious defects: 1) Supplied screws are terrible and/or pilot holes are not sufficiently deep. There are two different length wood screws so I made sure I was using the right ones in the right place. Still, the screw heads would either strip out or the heads would simply snap before the screws were in as far as they should be. This is particularly true of the screws holding the casters on the bottom. 2) Supplied side hinges are very low quality and confusing to install. The instruction diagram is too small to make out the details of how these are properly mounted and which hinge goes on which side. Took a couple of attempts to get it right and make it work. Definitely didn't help that one of the right angle hinge mounts where it attaches to the lid wasn't remotely at a right angle: had to bend it with two pairs of vice grips just to make it mountable to the lid. 3) The 'white' version is gray. It is 'white wash' on a dark wood so it's never going to get to 'white' without several coats of real paint which would completely hide the wood grain. At first I assumed they had accidentally shipped me the gray version of the product. However, the box labeling confirms that what I received is what they consider white. Looking at other reviewers photos of the gray version - I guess the white one I received is slightly less dark than the gray version. All this being said, the sood panels are nice and solid and attractive. The supplied substandard screws and the manufacturing defect with the side hinges is what really makes this a bad product. I'm keeping it.. but only because taking it all back apart again to ship back is so much worse than just living with the products defects: The side hinges are not high quality: the lid can easily slam shut on your fingers if you're not careful - but they do work as hinges to some extent. I may end up painting the whole thing with white paint at some point. May also just remove the wobbly 'half installed' wheels (due to screws that cannot be tightened).. either that or visit my local hardware store to buy better quality screws and maybe drill the pilot holes a little deeper. This product is definitely one of the most disappointing item I've purchased on Wayfair. Also makes me somewhat hesitant to buy from Wayfair in future since most items require assembly - disassembling and re-boxing a disappointing product would be a pain as well as a tremendous waste of time.
