This is a pretty nice little chest, I wasnt sure how sturdy it was going to be but it is well constructed and decent materials. The assembly instructions call for glue on the wood dowels, which, a little pouch is included and is more than enough for what is needed. I did assemble according to instructions and used the glue but I honestly don't think it would make a difference, it is such a smalll amount I feel it is an unnecessary step. We are using for a dog toy chest and it works for us, I think it would make a fine storage chest for an adolescent or adult as well but I'm not sure about putting it in a childs room. For one, it is on wheels, which you could also choose to not use the wheels and just set the chest directly on the floor. The other reason would be the mechanism that helps to hold it open is very thin metal and I feel is a bit sharp for being in a childs toy box.

I like the finished product, well made. However the instructions are very complicated. You have to sit and really think about what goes where, the holes are confusing. However it is a thick wood, very sturdy. Just the right size for storage of any kind, from books to blankets or dog toys! It has a closure which is easy to install and 4 wheels that screws onto the bottom.

This is an ok basic storage chest. I had some issues getting it together because the instructions weren't detailed in some places and because the screws for last step (installing the lower tension bar) weren't long enough...so I had to fix the holes and find other screws around the house to finish assembly. But the size of the chest is nice and it has casters which makes it easy to move around. The finish on the outside does mark very easily when you touch it, so I will be keeping this in a closet for seasonal storage. This chest is lightweight too...which is nice for moving it around...but I'm not sure how well it will hold up for long-term use.
