I love these shelves, they are very versatile on how you can use them, the boards weigh next to nothing but still maintain sturdiness I took one star off as they did come a little beat up which I’m sure happened during shipment the edges of the boards were missing a few chunks but no big deal we put them along the wall side and you can’t even see them.

We have action figures on these and it's working out fine. The wood is very light, which works for us but be aware it's not as heavy as other types of wood.

Perfect for my daughter's trinket collection.

These shelves are narrow (my fault for not looking but they’re only 6” wide) and are very light. It feels like balsa wood. Fine for something decorative but if you want function pick another.

The material of the wood seems to be VERY light… not much weight to it. It’s sort of like a heavier duty balsa wood product, but a little more sturdier. With that in mind, if you’re not putting too much weight on it, or if you’re using all of the brackets, it’s not too bad. After installation, I can’t complain. It looks good in my opinion, I just wish the wood had a little more heft to it.
