This is an attractive, functional, and economical deck box. I only gave it 4 stars because the lid will not completely close flat to the box (see photos), but otherwise it is great. It accommodates all my porch furniture cushions and the fully zipping polyvinyl interior bag is waterproof and fully protective.
Right after assembling this piece and putting my cushions in it, we had a big rain storm that blew water sideways into my screened porch. After the storm, I lifted the lid and looked inside the box. There were puddles of water on top of the polyvinyl bag, but my cushions were kept completely dry.
This piece is relatively easy to assemble, but I highly recommend purchasing a ratcheting allen wrench set before you begin this project. Please see my video. Trying to put this together without a ratcheting set is extremely tedious and time consuming. I also recommend you do not do this on top of a rough concrete surface because the color is not solid, throughout the poly rattan. It is surface only and as you move the piece around on a rough surface, the color will be scratched off. I learned this the hard way
