This thing is so frigging difficult to assemble. The plastic mallet that comes with it broke. So get yourself a hammer & put a towel over it to bang the pieces in. I had to stand on the bottom rails to get them to snap into place. If they aren’t snapped into place the whole unit falls apart. If they aren’t snapped & you move the unit, it falls apart. It’s extremely difficult to get the pieces together. I have temporarily given up. I have it turned the opposite way I wanted only because the baseboard makes the space slightly too small. After a hammer & a towel I got it to hold together, however it’s got plastic connectors that hold the top half to the bottom half & they aren’t very thick, so definitely watch how much weight you put on the top half.

I got this shelving unit to store stuff in the unfinished part of my basement. It is exactly what I needed. The description says "heavy duty". I have some others that are also heavy duty and can hold 500-600 lbs. I don't think these could do that but they are definitely not flimsy either. They are very sturdy and they were very easy to assemble. They will hold everything I need them to. Wonderful purchase.

This 5 tier adjustable shelving unit is really handy for our just leased storage unit. It is the first thing we put in there. After seeing it in the unit I realize I should have ordered a taller one with more shelves. I have all that wasted space above the shelving.I’m thinking about ordering a taller, wider one for the storage unit and take this one home and put in my closet on a wall for my many shoes or some of the seems like hundreds of craft boxes laying around.

This shelf unit was easy to assemble works perfectly in a basement or garage. it is very sturdy and strong and seems like it will hold a lot of items. I would recommend purchasing this for storage.
