Disappointing right out of the box. Minor denting from shipping, low quality paint job means it not only scratches very easily, but that there are unpainted edges and areas where the paint is peeling off. Pretty difficult to assemble - sheets forming housing come in 12 pcs that must be fit together. The method of identifying parts was confusing and the instructions were not detailed enough at the critical step where left/right part orientation was necessary for correct assembly. Screws are more prominent on the top of the door than the list images indicate and it seems that the only aspect that keeps the interior dry is that the door overhangs the top of the chest- moisture/bugs will very easily enter from the lower connection points. Locking mechanism can be easily unlatched by putting sideways pressure on the door. I wanted to go with metal construction hoping it would be better constructed. I regret not ordering a plastic/resin option instead. Overall, seems pretty heft and structurally sound. I could see the lid holding solid 80+ lbs. Images show lid- poor paint quality and screw heads clearly visible all over. Corner Bracket: Protective plastic is pointless and difficult to remove. Paint around holes and edges already peeling/poorly applied.
