Once the rack came together, it was exactly what I expected. It's not a project for a beginner, since there aren't step by step assemble directions. I had to go back to the order details and print enlarged, crisper page in order to see what went where. the the bottom 1st, then the top, then the middle. It seems the tension of the 3 sections is what holds the rack together. Once they're secure, it moves easily. I did not find a way for it not collapse for storage when not in use but I plan to leave it up, so it's not an issue for me .

Convenient for hanging several items and folds up nicely. Assembly is fairly simple once you figure out the diagram, but there are not written instructions as mentioned by others.
