My room doesn't have any hanging closet storage and I rely on garment racks to hang my clothes. I ordered this to replace a cheaper garment rack which collapsed under the weight of my clothes. Putting it together: The illustrations of the different rods on the instructions looked much too similar to follow the directions without problem, but after I inspected the connector parts it was easy to figure out how the rack should be put together. The rods did not fit well into the base of the rack, even after I attempted to use a hammer to push the rods further in. Simple to put together, but not great. Result: The hanging rods are really strong. I know this one won't break under the weight of my clothes. Unfortunately, the two hanging rods are quite close together, so my clothes need to be pushed to opposite sides of the rack to fit comfortably. If I used children-size hangers, this probably wouldn't be an issue. Recommendation: It's a great garment rack is you are looking to hang few, heavy clothes or if you are hanging children's clothes (as they are hung on shorter hangers). For my purposes, as a replacement for a closet, it wasn't a perfect fit but it is still acceptable.
