1 Star – Nowhere Near the Advertised 2,000 lb Capacity I purchased this 5-tier shelving unit specifically because it was advertised as having a 2,000 lb total weight capacity. Unfortunately, I seriously question how this shelf could safely hold anywhere near that amount. I placed a box weighing only about 50 lbs on one of the shelves, and the shelf visibly started to bow under the weight. That is an extremely small fraction of the advertised capacity. If a shelf is already bending with just 50 lbs on it, I would not trust it with anything remotely close to the claimed weight rating. To make matters worse, the packaging was destroyed during shipping, so I don't even have a usable box to package this large shelving unit back up for a return. The 2,000 lb capacity was the entire reason I chose this shelving unit, and based on what I received, it does not perform as advertised. Very disappointing and definitely not something I would recommend for heavy-duty storage.

Using for toy storage and is the perfect solution. Sturdy, easy to put together. Holds a ton and is not wobbly. Recommend.
