People saying these rails are "poorly engineered" aren't buying long enough rail sections and blaming the product for not meeting unreasonable expectations. They fail to realize placing holes too close to the edge on shorter rails to put two end to end on one stud risks a weak installation. My first section of rail is 5+ years old and I've since acquired 48" and 84" sections, using longer rails with more stud engagement for heavier items, or using two hooks on adjacent sections for wider items like ladders. These rails are be best in the industry for their versatility and metal construction. They're stronger and more secure than plastic rails or slat walls. If you're intellectually capable of selecting the correct product configuration for your use case, you will quickly realize these are excellent and well worth the price

Just purchased this and what a waste of time. Obviously the engineers who designed this never used nor tried to install it. The bar is exactly 32 inches long and the holes are set back from the edge making it impossible to hit three studs. Also the center holes are not set to 16 inches.
