• Size: 53 3/4" long x 10" - 17" deep x 1.75" thick → Protected with a low VOC oil-based urethane for a natural-looking matte finish. → Voids filled with red and/or clear epoxy
• Brackets included! Individual brackets support 45 pounds of weight PER STUD they're attached to at 16" on centre. You must hit every stud at 16" on centre to take full advantage of the weight capacity rating. Holes drilled in the back are 16" from each other evenly down the back of the shelf to encourage hitting studs. Dry wall plugs will be included in case you cannot hit a stud. Please note anchors will decrease weight capacity rating. A sheet with helpful installation tips will be provided to you in your package!
• No mass manufacturing here: these shelves are handcrafted by two humans in the USA from a small business in Northeastern Ohio (Steel Oak LLC).
• Our wood is responsibly sourced from forest management companies. Although once a vibrant tree, feel good knowing you're revitalizing it by giving it purpose as a beautiful piece of art you can appreciate! These are kiln dried (forced heat to remove insects and drop moisture content to a workable level). However, there will be remaining natural bug holes and wormy markings. This emphasizes character and natural uniquness of the wood, but the insects are gone.
