I have two totes with no lids. Because your lids broke down and cannot be used. I don’t see why I should recycle two good totes and go buy two more with lids. Most of the time they don’t get recycled and wind up in landfill. I read another customer who had the same problem. Read your reply. As far as a business is since it makes sense to you do not sell replacement lids. But to your customers, we need replacement lids.

I have been a long time purchaser of these 18 gallon totes. I'd say I own about 200 plus. I decided to purchase them and use them when I moved instead of using cardboard boxes. I figured they would always come in handy for whatever reason. I was a good investment. The prices were decent and the quality...oh man the quality USED to be AWESOME. I mean I still have the older style bins that I purchased back in 1995. They've been through storms.. snow.. outdoor sun and exposure... cross country moves and storage ins and out and about 5 other moves that I can think of now... and STILL are going very strong... BUT these newer version of 18 gal totes are flimsy... weak... break easily and have yet to prove your business worthy any more. Extremely disappointed in who ever decided that making more money meant lowering your quality.

These 18 gallon totes feel very shy of their predecessors. I have used sterilite 18 gallon totes for years. I have over 110 of them. My local retailers started carrying only this style. I had been using the (1830) design. So I figured why not try the new design. These now do not stack with my old totes. (Guess that's my OCD problem). So I got over that. But stacking them soon revealed their flaws. Much weaker. I used to stack old style 5 high. With these, Same weight only three high. Don't waste your money.

I've been using this size for years to store Christmas decorations. We moved a few years back and bought more to help us pack for our move. They were perfect for packing and loading into the moving pod. They stacked great and held a lot

I decided to use totes during my move. I love how uniform they stack. the only negative in my opinion is the indentation takes up space inside the tote, and my labels don't look as nice BUT that is minor compared to the job they do.

In 2016, I got my black bins with Halloween decorations out of the shed and put them on the screened-in porch in anticipation of decorating. And here comes Hurricane Matthew! For 3 rainy, stormy, electricity-killing days, the bins sat on the screened in porch getting drenched. When Matthew moved on, I was thrilled to discover not a single bin had leaked, thus saving my spooky decor!

I have used Sterilite bins for years, but I have been very unhappy with the last two sets I have bought. I am a teacher, and I have to box up all of my classroom library for summer cleaning and waxing. Therefore, I need sturdy storage. The last few totes I have bought have ended up with cracked lids due to just the normal packing and stacking process. The lids also bow and do not stay strong and firmly protect the contents of the bins more times than not. The bins seem to do okay, but the lids are failing regularly. I wish one could buy replacement lids of a better quality. I would even be willing to pay a bit more to have good lids. Right now, I am questioning whether to continue buying your bins for the household cleanout I have planned during our summer break.

This tote has too wide of a top - it cannot hold up to any weight at all and the lid does not fit once it gets benteven a little bit. We have had totes made by sterlite for 15 years that are still in better condition than the ones i bought last month. Best Sterlite Tote ever made was Tote #1830. PLEASE make these again. Palstic is more durable and the design is the best.

I have about 20 of the 20 gallon bins from the late 90s to early 2000s. They are solid as a rock. Stored five high in the garage and not a dent or wrinkle in any of them. No cracks. Perfect to this day. They store mostly Christmas stuff, but some have miscellaneous things I want to keep. I needed a new one for some additional holiday things this year and went to buy my favorite brand--Sterilite. Never thought of other brands, as I don't like the soft plastic that breaks down and won't hold its shape. To my surprise, now Sterilite has become like the others. Flimsy, soft, not worth using except for light items that won't need much protection. So very disappointed. Now, I don't know what to buy, but I will keep looking. I was a strong advocate for Sterilite storage containers because they were quality. I'd rather pay a little more, not have the size shrunk, and definitely not have the soft plastic junk that seems to the new norm. Sad that companies don't understand that quality over time matters.

One of my favorite storage bins. I have bought about 10 of them and they are a great product. It has been nine months so far, but the lids do not last very long. They started to crack and fall apart at six months. I have two of them that are no longer usable because the lids do not work on them anymore. Do you know where I can purchase a replacement lid for this product? I have looked and I cannot find a place to purchase them without buying the whole thing. Selling the replacement lids through a third party could be a good source of income for your company.
