This organizer was better than the rest for me for so many reasons, so I will provide a good review as I recommended it with blaring excitement to my aesthetician today & had to look it up for her. I will tell you some of the main things I looked for in my acrylic makeup cube (this is the name I've dubbed to generalize them - not the original cube brand which is more expensive and currently did not offer something in this size and as functional as this at the time I was looking). So, here are things that were important to me:
My counter space:
Most important to me -- was the depth of the unit, or how much it would room it would stick out from my mirror and onto my counter space. Most cube like units were 12x12" or 16x16". This created functional obsolescence for me. It inhibited the fungus schway. Lol. So this was a deciding factor, as well as....
I have nails and get annoyed easily by pulling out drawers with my fingernails. And, it hurts and pulls my acrylic nails off/nail polish off when I'm wearing my real nails. It's annoying to have to jam your finger into a slight crack everytime you want to open it. I felt these knobs were okay looking, and they are. They're perfect for every day use, completely functional here. I love coopenhagen style, but function wins here lol.
Organization -
The slimmer depth on these drawers does not allow you to stack the articles you put in them (i.e. I cannot fit two powders atop each other). Which promotes good organization.
You also get more drawers than most to thoroughly organize.
Display:
This unit is slightly taller than most. I feel it looks very good as a centerpiece between my two sinks and it doesn't take up too much counter space, which I absolutely love. It hugs the wall. I love it. Thanks maker!!!
