It's a box. It's square with hinges. Solid. Probably will last a long time.

I didn’t realize there were so many sizes of recipe boxes but I guess how many do we buy ! This one fit my need though . Was packaged well and is constructed well . The cards are plain so you can label the categories to suit you. Others complained about being plain but we all don’t file alike. The plexiglass card holder will be stored separate as you can’t have the lid shut with all your recipes in there too . No big deal, I’ll store it in the cupboard beside it. Would I order this again-yes!

Like the recipe holder in the top. Keeps the recipes clean. Will have to rewrite recipes as they are on smaller cards.

Nice product, but the 4 x 6" index/recipe cards fit snugly inside the box. It would be nice if the box was just 1/4 to 1/2" wider.

Was given as a gift and was much more than I expected. Now I have to order one for myself.
