If your kids love books, you will love this shelf. I disregarded to the pre drilled holes. You need to drill into a stud. Books will cover the holes.

Overall, this is a great shelf! We put it up and it looks nice with our other floating shelves the previous owners left behind. It is sturdy and matches the description. I will say I was very confused there was only one in the package with all the pictures and places in the description that say shelves I thought there were two. It is my bad for not reading better, but was a bit confusing! I do like the shelf, but would say its a little pricey for what I thought it was.
