Functional, not super sturdy. It comes in several pieces. The pole in the middle is basically in 4 parts and you screw each part together with the baskets in between. There is no instructions or order so it's a guess and the holes in the basket for the pole were slightly painted over, so it took a little force to get everything together, but no special tools. It's a tad wobbly, probably because it's not one solid piece and the baskets have no support. But I've got fruit in the bottom and some snacks, etc. on the 2 upper trays and it's doing its job.

Fairly sturdy, but my middle shelf is slightly crooked.
